The Fundación Lilly and the IESE presented the second volume of the book “Gestión en el Sector de la Salud”, on 23 October 2006 at the headquarters of the IESE in Madrid. The event was attended by Jaume Ribera, Magdalene Rosenmöller and José A. Gutiérrez, coordinators of the book published by Pearson

The book is a treatise in two volumes. The first volume, entitled "Gestión del Sistema y sus Instituciones" reviews the key management issues and health models in other European and American countries. In this second volume, "Elementos de Gestión en las Instituciones", the authors address new management and leadership trends, in an attempt to formalise strategic thought on how to bring about change in organisations.

The book was co-authored by notable economists and management experts from the Spanish and international health sector, reviewing the importance of new techniques and methods for good resource management, including human and technological resources, in order to maximise efficiency.
